Bock-Fest!

Welcome to Bock Fest! This month’s tasting will be showcasing the ever popular Bock style. This strong lager varies from light copper to brown in color, is lightly hopped with malty flavor, and touts an alcohol by volume range of 6-13%. There are several variations of Bock beer that are recognized by the BJCP (Beer Judge Certification Program) including the Traditional Bock, Maibock/Helles Bock, Doppelbock, and Eisbock. Read more about the style on the wiki page or on beersmith. I’m really excited about this tasting, as there are so many great beers to choose from. You can find some great options under the German Lager section on Beer Advocate, or the Lager section of Ratebeer. Once again the floodgates are open. The first 15 people to Request a Brew will be entered into the tasting on April 21st.
